Abstract

Inguinal hernia repair is one of the most common procedures performed by general surgeons. With the advent of laparoscopic approach, two major methods - Total Extraperitoneal repair (TEP) and Trans-Abdominal Pre-Peritoneal repair (TAPP) have emerged. Here we describe the approach to
TAPP procedure, including the basic steps, some major pitfalls as well as tips and tricks related to the operation.
