Review Process

SEEES journal use peer review to check submitted articles for quality and standards  for publication.
All submitted articles have to pass following process to be published:
  1. Submission: The process begins when authors submit their research articles to the SEEES journal. The submitted manuscripts should include details about the research design, methods, results, and conclusions.

  2. Editorial Assessment: Upon receiving a submission, the journal's editorial team conducts an initial assessment. This assessment checks whether the manuscript adheres to the journal's guidelines, ethical standards, and fits within the scope of the journal.

  3. Assignment to Reviewers: If the manuscript passes the initial assessment, the editorial team assigns the article to external experts in the field, known as peer reviewers. These reviewers are typically researchers or experts with relevant expertise who are not affiliated with the authors' institutions.

  4. Blind Peer Review: The peer review process is often conducted anonymously (blind peer review), meaning that the reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, and vice versa. This helps maintain objectivity and impartiality in the evaluation.

  5. Review and Evaluation: The peer reviewers thoroughly examine the manuscript. They assess the study design, methodology, statistical analysis, results, interpretation, and the overall contribution to the field. Reviewers also check for ethical considerations, proper referencing, and adherence to the journal's guidelines.

  6. Reviewer Recommendations: After the review, the peer reviewers provide detailed feedback to the editorial team. They make recommendations regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript. The recommendations may include specific suggestions for improvements or clarifications.

  7. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewer feedback and recommendations, the editorial team makes a decision regarding the manuscript. The decision may be acceptance, acceptance with revisions, rejection, or further review. The decision is communicated to the authors along with the reviewers' comments.

  8. Author Revisions: If revisions are required, authors are usually given the opportunity to revise and resubmit their manuscript. The revised version is then re-evaluated by the editorial team and, if necessary, by the same or different peer reviewers.

  9. Final Decision and Publication: Once the manuscript meets the journal's standards and the reviewers are satisfied, the editorial team makes the final decision to accept the article for publication. The article is then published in the SEEES journal.
